Celpe-Bras is a proficiency certificate in Portuguese language, developed and granted bythe ministry of education (MEC), given to foreigners. The exam is applied twice a year (generally in April or October) and it can be taken in authorized Brazilian universities or in Brazilian consulates outside the country. This certificate is internationally accepted in companies and learning institutions as comprovation of competency in Portuguese language, and in Brazil, it is required for entrancyin universities for graduation or post-graduation studies.
